Project Technical Highlights

Discovery of Critical Membrane & Drainage Failures

A primary success of this project was identifying a major deficiency in an isolated section of the roof obscured by large HVAC infrastructure. This area was deemed physically inaccessible for safe manual probing due to a combination of extreme vertical parapet heights, fragile skylight proximity, and high-density mechanical obstructions that prevented stable ladder placement. Using 4K zoom optics, we identified:

  • Severe Ponding & Drainage Stagnation: Documented areas of standing water indicating internal structural deflection or blocked primary drains.

  • Membrane Delamination: Identified “bridging” and blistering of the TPO membrane at parapet transitions that had been overlooked in previous “walk-through” inspections.

  • Sub-Surface Damage Indicators: Identified early signs of membrane thinning and puncture points that, if left unaddressed, would have led to a total roof system failure.

Comprehensive Asset Inventory & Mechanical Audit

Beyond deficiency detection, the drone served as a critical tool for facility management by documenting the exact state of rooftop infrastructure:
